By purchasing or participating in a Ragged Writer writing room, you agree to the following terms.

The service

Ragged Writer provides live, scheduled writing sessions conducted via video conferencing. These sessions are structured working periods, not classes, workshops, or coaching services.

No instruction, critique, or publishing outcomes are promised.

Participation requirements

Participants agree to:

  • Attend sessions at the scheduled times

  • Follow stated rules and expectations

  • Keep cameras on during the writing block, except for reasonable temporary exceptions

  • Conduct themselves respectfully

Failure to follow these expectations may result in removal from the session or cohort without refund.

Cameras and visibility

Cameras-on during the writing block is a requirement of participation. “Cameras on” means your face or workspace is visible. Specific expectations are outlined on the Rules page.

Payments and refunds

All purchases are for a specific cohort and schedule.

  • Payments are non-refundable once the cohort begins

  • Missed sessions are not credited or rescheduled

  • Access is limited to the dates listed at purchase

If a session is canceled by Ragged Writer, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule or issue a partial refund.

Technology

Participants are responsible for having:

  • A stable internet connection

  • A working camera

  • Access to the required video conferencing platform

Ragged Writer is not responsible for disruptions caused by participant technology issues.

No guarantees

Participation does not guarantee:

  • writing output

  • completion of projects

  • publication

  • productivity improvements

The service provides structured time only.

Limitation of liability

Ragged Writer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to participation. Participation is at your own discretion.

Termination

Ragged Writer reserves the right to deny or terminate participation for violations of these terms or behavior that disrupts the room.

Changes to terms

These terms may be updated. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
